25 Years!

My birthday!!!

I love my birthdays. Why not? They're fun! I can't believe that I'm 25 years old. that seems really old and really not old at the same time. It's a strange place to be...but I love it! I couldn't think of anything that would be more fun than spending my birthday with these two guys!

This year we decided to celebrate by visiting the new water park down the street from us. It's crazy expensive and over priced for what it is, but they were having a half price day on my birthday. It's super fun! I really wish it wasn't so expensive because it would be a really fun thing to take Blake to more often. When they opened the water park this year, there was a major outrage because of the price. It's $15 a person! Anyways, it was a lot of fun.

Twenty-Five feels great! I couldn't wish for anything more on my birthday!

Our Little Adventurer - 9 Months Old

In case you haven't seen enough pictures...it's time for another picture update! Blake is 9 months! I did a little photo shoot with this cutie in our back yard. He's going through one of this chunky phases. He seems to grow kind of like an accordion. He gets really chunky and then gets taller and thins out a little bit....and then chunky again. It's pretty much one of the cutest things ever. I can't get enough hugs from this little man.

Of course it wouldn't be an outdoor adventure without a whole lot of grass and leaf eating. He's definitely a boy!

Speaking of adventures, we decided to go to our local drive in to see "Monsters University" and "Superman." We decided to get there early (around 8pm), and we were hoping that Blake would fall asleep on the way down. He did fall asleep, but while we were waiting in lien to get into the drive in, a fire truck pulled up next to our car with it's sirens blaring! Of course Blake woke up after that. It turns out that a child in the van in front of us was stuck in between the seatbelt and back of the seat. He crawled up over the back of the seat with the seatbelt on and somehow got stuck. It must have been serious because the fire engine had pulled the jaws of life out and everything. We think the child was probably having problems breathing or something. It was quite tense. We had a front row seat to the whole thing. The fire man was able to get the child out without the jaws of life. They still took the child away in an ambulance though. Eventually we did get into the movie, and it was a lot of fun! Well..mostly fun...Blake wouldn't fall asleep. He normally falls asleep around 7:30pm, but he didn't fall asleep until we were into the second movie. By then I was so exhausted that I kept falling asleep during the second movie. I'm thinking next summer it will be a lot more fun when Blake is a little older. It was still a good adventure though!

We are Americans

We are Americans, and I'm proud to say it.

I realize our country is not in the best state possible. I realize that there are a lot of problems, a lot of corrupt government officials, a lot of red tape, bureaucracy, debt, etc etc.

I also know that there is no where else on earth I would rather live. I know that we live in a country where I can freely exercise my religion. I can choose my career, where I want to live, what I want to where, and who I want to be. I have my freedom and that is of paramount importance to me.

We love Independence Day! We celebrated all week long....take a look!

We are thankful for the freedoms we have and the chance to celebrate it! Happy 4th of July!
